What does the law in Romania provide?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The transport and storage of food products are extremely important for consumer safety, while the obligations and responsibilities of the operators involved in this process are regulated by national legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The legislation covers the general hygiene rules for food products and the procedures for verifying compliance with these rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most important legislative frameworks is Regulation (EC) No. 852\/2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs, applicable throughout the European Union. This regulation establishes general hygiene requirements for food business operators, covering aspects related to the transport and storage of food in <a href=\"https:\/\/cwechinox.com\/industrial\/ro\/hale-si-depozite\/hale-de-inchiriat\/\">dedicated storage facilities<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At European Union level, Regulation (EC) No. 853\/2004 laying down specific hygiene rules for food of animal origin is also in force. It contains specific provisions for the transport and storage of food of animal origin, such as meat, dairy products and fishery products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main provisions regarding transport and storage require vehicles and containers used to transport food to be kept clean and, where necessary, disinfected. They must be designed in such a way as to prevent food contamination. Perishable foods must be transported and stored at appropriate temperatures to prevent spoilage. In general, for storage in <a href=\"https:\/\/cwechinox.com\/insights\/romania-industrial-q3-2023\/\">industrial facilities<\/a>, these spaces must have controlled-temperature or refrigerated-temperature systems, while frozen products must be kept at temperatures below zero degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, storage facilities must be equipped with thermometers to continuously monitor temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, storage facilities must be properly ventilated to prevent moisture accumulation and maintain food quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Food products must be stored in suitable containers that protect them from contamination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Order No. 27\/2011 approving the veterinary sanitary regulations on the safety of food of animal origin, which regulates hygiene requirements during the transport of food of animal origin, and Government Decision No. 984\/2005 on the storage and transport of frozen and refrigerated food products, which establishes temperature requirements and hygiene conditions for the transport and storage of frozen and refrigerated food products, are other regulations currently in force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Transport of food products<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The transport of food products in Romania is regulated by a set of legislative acts and standards aimed at ensuring food safety throughout the transportation process. Logistics companies must comply with requirements concerning hygiene, temperature control and traceability in order to prevent contamination and deterioration of food products. The main regulations and requirements are as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hygiene and temperature control of vehicles and equipment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vehicles and containers used to transport food must be clean and maintained in good hygienic condition. After each use, they must be cleaned and disinfected where necessary. Surfaces that come into contact with food must be made of materials that do not contaminate the products, are easy to clean and, where necessary, can be disinfected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perishable foods must be transported under controlled temperature conditions. For example, frozen products must be maintained at temperatures below zero degrees Celsius, while refrigerated products must be transported at temperatures that prevent the development of pathogenic microorganisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vehicles must be equipped with temperature monitoring devices to ensure that food products are transported at the appropriate temperatures throughout the entire transportation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Logistics companies must have systems that enable the traceability of products from the point of origin to the final destination. They must also implement and maintain food safety management systems, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and ensure that all processes comply with applicable standards and regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Food business operators, as well as operators involved in the distribution chain, must comply with these requirements, primarily in order to protect consumers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The transport and storage of food products are extremely important for consumer safety, while the obligations and responsibilities of the operators involved in this process are regulated by national legislation.
