01The challenge
The project focused on the reorganization and redesign of a 1,000 sqm office space located on the 20th floor of Globalworth Tower — one of the tallest and most technologically advanced office buildings in Romania. At over 80 meters high, the space benefits from abundant natural light and panoramic views across Bucharest. The challenge was to transform these assets into an active part of the daily work experience, while balancing visual comfort, privacy, and openness.
At the same time, the client required:
- Optimized workflows for a hybrid and dynamic team
- A clear mix of focus areas, collaboration zones, informal meeting corners, and modular meeting rooms
- A strong, coherent visual identity aligned with the brand’s agricultural and industrial profile
- Integration of artificial lighting with intense natural daylight, avoiding visual fatigue
All of this had to be delivered within a strict 6-week timeline, while maximizing existing building installations and complying with high-rise technical constraints.
02The solution
We approached the project through workplace strategy — starting with behavioral flows: how people move, collaborate, concentrate, and connect.
Our team provided both design and full project management, ensuring coherence from concept to execution.
Key interventions included:
- Clear and intuitive zoning, with circulation organized parallel to the building core, distributing meeting rooms, open space areas, informal zones, and a kitchen hub.
- Removal of partitions to open perspectives and maximize natural light.
- Biophilic integration, using gradient flooring inspired by aerial views of cultivated fields, natural textures such as wood and concrete finishes, and strategically placed vegetation.
- Mixed-function spaces, including creative corners along the facades, one-to-one discussion areas, and acoustic lounge chairs for quick calls.
- A kitchen designed with a bistro vibe — featuring a pastel central island, colorful chairs, and suspended lights
- Layered architectural lighting, carefully calibrated to complement the strong daylight exposure.
We positioned shared and relaxation areas along the facades, transforming the panoramic view into a defining element of the workplace experience.
03The results
The transformation delivered both functional and cultural impact:
- Improved operational efficiency through better spatial distribution and a balanced mix of collaborative and individual zones.
- Full capitalization of the 20th-floor advantage, turning the urban panorama into a signature feature of the office.
- A flexible, future-ready workspace ecosystem — collaborative, adaptable, and people-centered.
This project demonstrates that office architecture today is no longer about desks and chairs — it’s about behavior, wellbeing, and experience. And when design and project management work seamlessly together, even a high-rise transformation becomes an opportunity to elevate the way people work.
