01The challenge
Transforming an open-plan office into a closed office layout, ensuring both focus and privacy for our client, Kinstellar, a multinational law firm, was a complex challenge for our team. This transformation required careful execution and budget management.
Unlike open spaces, individual offices demand more physical space, higher investments per sqm for the MEP equipment, acoustic solutions, and also suitable lighting systems for areas lacking natural light. Additionally, the need for individual partitions, extra doors, and dedicated infrastructure for each office cubicle requires increased overall costs, including higher maintenance and utility expenses.
02The solution
To create a functional closed office layout, we strategically aligned the new partitions with the existing MEP infrastructure, optimizing costs while staying within the client’s budget.
To enhance the lighting in the areas without natural light and to create a more comfortable, dynamic atmosphere, we integrated the Nature Connect system, which mimics daylight and replicates a view of the sky. Through carefully designed light scenes, this system boosts energy levels and ensures a well-balanced environment, in harmony with nature.
03The results
Our Project & Development Services team successfully implemented the new office space, ensuring a seamless transformation that balances productivity, comfort and functionality, while reflecting Kinstellar’s culture and values.
The design, created by Prographic Architecture Studio’s team coordinated by Oana Cucoreanu, was brought to life through our efficient execution. The project was delivered in only 2 months, on time and within budget, overcoming the logistical challenges of a 22nd-floor workspace implementation.
