MAS STRIP MALLS PORTFOLIO

01The Challenge

To execute the disposal of a portfolio consisting of 7 retail assets with a total GLA of approximately 32,000 sq. m located in Slobozia, Focsani, Ramnicu Sarat, Targu Secuiesc, Sebes, Fagaras and Gheorgheni. Most of the schemes, located in 3-tier cities, were not on the radar of many institutional investors at the time when we initiated the disposal process.

02The Solution

Despite the volatile economic environment and the portfolio being located in 3-tier cities, we succeeded to convince investors that the portfolio benefits from excellent fundamentals and long-term growth perspective, that the properties are strategically positioned in densely populated areas next to Kaufland stores,  being dominant schemes in their primary catchment areas and enjoying an impressive mix of tenants, such as JYSK, Pepco, C&A, CCC, Deichmann, Sinsay, Altex, KFC, McDonald’s, etc.

03The Results

We successfully managed to organize a structured sale process which created competition among bidders, so that we could achieve the best conditions for our client.

We provided strategic advisory services and transaction support to our client MAS PLC, a leading property investor and operator in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), in the disposal process of the strip malls portfolio in Romania to M Core Group.
