Claudia Scarlat promoted to Deputy Head of Valuation, while Bogdan Sergentu takes on Data & AI Strategy

Bucharest, October 2026: Cushman & Wakefield Echinox announces the promotion of Claudia Scarlat to Deputy Head of Valuation and the expansion of Bogdan Sergentu’s responsibilities, as he takes on the role of Head of Valuation, Data & AI Strategy. The two appointments strengthen the management structure of the Valuation department while also supporting the development of a strategic direction focused on the use of data and artificial intelligence across the company.

The Valuation practice is one of Cushman & Wakefield Echinox’s established professional services lines, providing valuation and advisory services across the main real estate asset classes.

In 2025, the team valued properties with a total leasable area of approximately 7.8 million sq. m and a cumulative value exceeding €7.7 billion. By number of assignments, 50% of valuations were carried out for bank financing purposes, followed by financial reporting (25%) and taxation (15%).

Claudia Scarlat takes on her new role after nearly 20 years with the company, during which she has gained extensive experience in valuation and made a significant contribution to the development of the department. Over the years, she has been involved in numerous projects and has built strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.

As Deputy Head of Valuation, Claudia Scarlat will gradually take on some of the department’s management responsibilities and will continue to work closely with Bogdan Sergentu and the entire team.

Claudia Scarlat, Deputy Head of Valuation, Cushman & Wakefield Echinox: “This new responsibility represents a natural continuation of the professional journey I have built alongside the Valuation team. We have grown together, navigated different market cycles and built strong relationships with our clients. In my new role, I aim to contribute further to the coordination and development of the team while maintaining the same rigour and close relationships with our clients that have guided us so far.”

At the same time, Bogdan Sergentu, one of Cushman & Wakefield Echinox’s longest-standing partners, is expanding his responsibilities as Head of Valuation, Data & AI Strategy, taking the lead on an area considered strategic to the company’s development in the coming years.

In his new role, Bogdan Sergentu will oversee the company’s strategy regarding data and the integration of artificial intelligence, with a focus on both leveraging the information available across the organization and incorporating these technologies into day-to-day operations. At the same time, he will remain actively involved in the Valuation practice, particularly in complex projects and relationships with strategic clients.

Claudia Scarlat’s gradual assumption of some of the department’s management responsibilities will enable Bogdan Sergentu to dedicate more time to developing this new strategic direction, while continuing to contribute his experience and expertise to the Valuation practice.

Bogdan Sergentu, Head of Valuation, Data & AI Strategy, Cushman & Wakefield Echinox:
“I have had the opportunity to see both the company and the market evolve significantly over the years, and technology is now opening a new chapter in the way we work and advise our clients. Data & AI is a strategic priority for us, not merely a technological one. Our objective is to use data and new tools more intelligently to support our teams and generate more relevant insights for our clients, while keeping professional expertise at the core of the decision-making process.”

Through these two appointments, Cushman & Wakefield Echinox aims to ensure continuity and support the further development of its Valuation practice, building on the experience accumulated within the team, while also creating the framework for broader integration of data and artificial intelligence across the company.
