IREKS

01The Challenge

IREKS, a German family-owned group with a strong international footprint, decided to further consolidate and expand its long-standing presence in Romania. Active locally since 2007 through IREKS PAN ROMANIA, the company identified the need for a new facility that could support its future growth, operational efficiency, and closer engagement with customers.

The challenge was to secure a land plot near Bucharest suitable for developing a modern administrative headquarters, including a customer centre, as well as a logistics warehouse tailored to the company’s specific operational and distribution needs. The selected location needed to offer excellent connectivity, access to skilled labor, developed utility infrastructure, and proximity to key players in the baking industry, while also allowing for a smooth and risk-mitigated development process.

02The Solution

Our Industrial & Land team supported IREKS in acquiring a 13,000 sq. m land plot in Chitila, near Bucharest, following a comprehensive analysis of land opportunities in the area. In parallel, our Project & Development Services team delivered Technical Due Diligence services for the acquisition, aimed at mitigating development risks and ensuring full alignment with the client’s intended project.

03The Results

The successful acquisition of the land plot enables IREKS to move forward with the development of a new headquarters and logistics facility designed to support the continued growth of its Romanian operations. The selected location stands out as a key industrial and logistics hub, offering proximity to IREKS’ core market, developed infrastructure, and easy access to public transport, supporting both operational performance and employee mobility.
