01The Challenge
In 2020, a multinational technology organization appointed Cushman & Wakefield Echinox as its Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) provider, while also consolidating all the three locations across Bucharest in one key location. The client’s portfolio includes over 2000 employees and covers over 20,000 sq. m of office spaces . A key objective of the client’s move was to unify its business in one space and create a more collaborative environment. The site selection involved an elaborated process and the final decision occurred during an unexpected situation: the global pandemic debut.
02The Solution
The relocation process has been challenging, as everyone started working from home, but since the partnership kicked off, Cushman & Wakefield Echinox made every effort to embrace, understand and facilitate the client’s goals, while creating a true alliance relationship between our mutual teams. To build a strong foundation, we have collaborated to build a change-management process that involved both members of the original client team and the new Cushman & Wakefield Echinox IFM team to map out responsibilities for new roles and team members. Our IFM team provided only virtual tours of the spaces for the new suppliers until it was safe to do it in person and implemented all Health & Safety measures to assure a safe return at the office for the employees.
03The Results
Through an intense effort, our IFM team managed to create a mutual flexible office adapted to the future workplace trends and a flagship location that hosts an international business, supporting its strategic vision and values and representing an improved experience for their clients and employees. We are proud of our partnership with the client and will continue to look for opportunities to strengthen our ties to deliver new efficiencies.
