FROO

01The Challenge

Froo Romania Retail, part of the Żabka Group, continued the rapid expansion of its modern convenience store network in Romania, with a clear focus on being close to customers and integrating seamlessly into their daily routines. As the brand strengthened its presence in Bucharest, Froo sought a location that could support its convenience-driven concept and serve busy urban professionals.

The challenge was identifying a prime office-led destination where strong daily footfall, accessibility, and tenant mix would create the right environment for a modern convenience format. The selected space needed to align with Froo’s ambition to deliver fresh products, ready-to-eat meals, and on-the-go solutions in a location that naturally supports frequent, short shopping occasions.

02The Solution

Cushman & Wakefield Echinox supported Froo throughout the leasing process, leveraging its expertise in office-driven retail environments and mixed-use projects.

America House was selected due to its prime CBD location, strong and diverse tenant base, and one of the most extensive retail areas integrated within an office project in Bucharest. The building’s retail mix, which includes cafés, restaurants, fitness, and everyday services, provides an ideal ecosystem for a convenience store concept tailored to office employees and visitors. The transaction marked another strategic step in Froo’s expansion, positioning the brand within a high-profile business destination.

03The Results

The successful opening of the new Froo store in America House further strengthened the brand’s footprint in Bucharest and reinforced its proximity-based expansion strategy. The store benefits from constant weekday footfall generated by the building’s office tenants, as well as its location within a vibrant CBD environment.
